Wound and Ostomy Specialist RN: Inpatient


Responsibilities:
The inpatient Wound and Ostomy Specialist evaluates and implements plans of care for Wound and Ostomy patients.
# The wound specialist will function as a resource for the provision of care for the patient and family regarding wound, skin and ostomy care.
# They will coordinate and teach classes to team members on skin, wound and ostomy care.
# The inpatient wound specialist will also follow up on inpatient wound care patients and evaluate the plan of care and change when necessary.
#The specialist will interact with all nursing staff and physicians in designing a plan of care for the patient.
# The specialist will assist as needed with outpatient wound care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing highly preferred.
# Active Maryland RN license.
Experience as a wound, skin and/or ostomy nurse is recommended.
# Minimum of 2 years of acute care/inpatient clinical wound care experience or outpatient wound care experience.
#Working knowledge of WOC nursing practice concepts.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
