This is a part-time position with a guaranteed 5 hours per school day, 180 school days/year.
Already have a CDL-B license? Minimal training needed to be certified to drive a school bus.
Don't have a CDL? We offer training to get your CDL-B license (includes behind-the-wheel training, classroom instruction & certification).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years personal driving experience, must have a clean driving record (no DUI within last 10 years); - Pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug test; - A clean criminal background (HCPS will conduct a criminal background check and fingerprinting during the hiring process); - Unemployment benefits available during summer months and extended school breaks(based on MD Unemployment guidelines).
Most all of our routes are in the Bel Air area, many are more than 5 hours.
Some extra work is available with field trips.
